When impunity reigns, the fabric of British democracy decays. The man who holds the office of prime minister in this country, Boris Johnson, is a serial liar with no moral compass. He is a narcissist who has serious shortcomings in empathy. He bears significant responsibility for the deaths from COVID-19 of around 150,000 British citizens.
Watch and listen as he is nailed by Hardeep Matharu for Byline Times. The Jennifer Arcuri affair matters a great deal. Johnson got away with political wrongdoing then. He is becoming more and more brazen. What next? That is the question posed by Hardeep Matharu - and it is one we all need to be asking. Know your enemy. Be prepared. Resist.
Lest you forget, this is the story of Johnson lauding vaccine 'greed', taken from the Morning Star on Thursday, 25 March 2021. Addressing the Tory MPs on the 1922 Committee, the prime minister joked that 'greed and capitalism' had contributed to the success of the vaccination programme in the UK. The
Labour Mayor of Manchester, Andy Burnham, hit the nail on the head with these words:'Celebrating "greed" in a pandemic? Same old Tories.'
The director of Global Justice Now, Nick Dearden, commented:
'It shows just how warped his understanding of this crisis is. We have a vaccine because of massive public investment and the remarkable work of scientists at publicly funded universities. We've rolled it out because of our incredible National Health Service. Greed, however, drove big pharma to privatise this work and withhold doses from millions worldwide to protect their profits. And, if Boris Johnson keeps letting it happen, there'll be more coronavirus mutations that could send us back to square one.'
This greasy-pole climber is dangerous. Beware!
This man is dangerous - thanks to Gary Barker for this revealing and scary cartoon. |
Remember Cummings - I suspect he and Johnson still communicate - my thanks to Crippen for this brilliant cartoon. |
Let's hope there's truth mixed in with the madness and self-interested naughtiness somewhere. ;)
ReplyDeleteYet another new government approved mortgage guarantee scheme is about to be launched tomorrow the 19th. It is designed to "turn generation rent into generation buy”!
But the banks are beginning to say they won't lend against new homes anymore because the asking prices are stir crazy. The builders are now beginning to realise the scheme might hit new housing.
I say:
"There’s serious nervousness brewing concerning the asking prices for new housing! The lack of sufficient or general affordability is going to be the straw that breaks the camel’s back on new house buying."
Are banks starting to be more responsible for a change?
That would be a first. :)
